BTAM/EDS for VSE/ESA provides extended device support for BTAM users. BTAM/EDS allows VSE/ESA users, with more than 256 I/O devices generated, to continue running BTAM applications and to use more than 256 BTAM devices.
BTAM/EDS also provides support which allows BTAM applications to run in dynamic partitions and utilize more than 256 I/O devices.
BTAM/EDS is a systems software utility that dynamically establishes interfaces into the VSE/ESA operating system. These interfaces monitor all BTAM activity on the system and make modifications to the BTAM access modules (BTMOD) so the extended device support and dynamic partition support can be performed.
BTAM/EDS allows any number of BTAM applications, running concurrently in static or dynamic partitions, to be supported.
