CICS Program Analyzer for OS/390,MVS,VSE

The CICS program analyzer from DPE and Associates completely automates the process of identifying user CICS programs. This utility will actually load and analyze the CICS user programs on your system and produce a report, detailing the types of programs analyzed and the results of the analysis. A report total page will detail the total programs found by language type and analysis type. The CICS Program analyzer can be executed while the respective CICS system is active.

The CICS program analyzer will determine if your CICS programs are:

Pure command level programs
Macro level programs
Mixed mode programs (command level programs with macro code)
Linked to execute above the 16MB line

The CICS program analyzer will also:

Allow user scans for your specific analysis
Determine if illegal compile options have been used for CICS programs
Determine if illegal Cobol verbs have been used for CICS programs
Idenfiy the programming language

Input to the CICS program scan utility can come from either the CICS System Definition file (DFHCSD) or the CICS processing program table (DFHPPTxx). When you execute the utility base program (DPECPSUP) you specify the input type via exec parms. When using DFHCSD as input, you can have the CICS program analyzer read the CSD directly or invoke the DFHCSDUP utility to read the CSD.
